Taylor Swift exuded joy as she continued her Eras Tour in Stockholm, Sweden, fresh from a romantic excursion with her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, in Lake Como. The 34-year-old pop sensation, having been pampered by her NFL beau with a boat trip and dinner at the Locanda La Tirlindana Restaurant, took the stage with vigor, performing for a full house at Friends Arena.
Dressed in a sparkling Atelier Versace bodysuit, embellished with pink and blue jewels, and Christian Louboutin boots, Swift greeted the 65,000 fans with enthusiasm. For her “Speak Now” segment, she donned a sequined icy blue halter dress by Nicole + Felicia, a piece that required over 2,100 hours of work. The Grammy-winning artist then surprised her audience with a mashup of “I Think He Knows” and “Gorgeous,” followed by the live debut of “Peter” from her latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department.”
“This one I’ve never even remotely performed lived before, one of my favorite songs,” Swift shared with her fans before diving into the poignant ballad.
She also discussed incorporating new tracks from “The Tortured Poets Department” into her setlist, including “But Daddy I Love Him,” “So High School,” “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?,” “Down Bad,” “Fortnight,” “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived,” and “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.”
“Before we added the tortured poets set, the acoustic set was my favorite part and now it’s both of them!” Swift expressed her excitement.
Swift’s Stockholm performance is the first of three, following her European tour commencement in Paris. In the interlude, she and Kelce savored moments in Lake Como, where they shared intimate dinners and water taxi rides, with Swift donning a chic black dress and Kelce, a patterned shirt and trousers, always the gentleman, shielding her with an umbrella.
Kelce, who had flown to Europe to support Swift, was spotted enjoying the Paris show alongside celebrities like Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper. Swift affectionately acknowledged Kelce, who watched from a VIP box, during her performance of “So High School,” a song about their relationship.
Reflecting on their relationship, Swift revealed in a December interview with TIME that it all began with Kelce’s podcast mention. “This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell. We started hanging out right after that,” she said. She clarified that their public appearances were not their initial dates and emphasized her role as a supportive partner at his games.
She further explained the nature of their public relationship: “When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care.”
Kelce, sharing his enthusiasm for Swift’s tour, said, “I had a blast at Tay’s show, the new rendition of the Eras Tour – I suggest everyone go see it.”
