Former Iowa Hawkeyes teammates Caitlin Clark and Kate Martin have been best friends, ever since Clark’s freshman season at Iowa. 

There’s endless video footage of the two sharing smiles both on and off the court.

Yet, just as it goes with any close relationship, there has also been tense moments between Clark and Martin.

And a recent YouTube video surfaces which shows a public altercation between Clark and Martin caught on camera, during Iowa Women’s Basketball’s Italian Tour in August 2023.

The video shows Clark, Martin, and Gabbie Marshall sitting together, eating homemade pizzas at a restaurant.

Martin takes a bite of Clark’s pizza, and says that she believes her own homemade pizza is superior.

“If I’m gonna be honest, it’s a 7.2 out of 10,” Martin says.

Clark appears visibly frustrated by Martin’s take. She then nods her head and says, “no it’s not.”

Then Martin and Clark appear in the video sitting next to each other, talking about how they’re often on each other’s nerves.

“We’ll be like ‘shut up! You’re being so annoying!'” Clark said of her and Martin’s interactions.

“Stop talking, seriously. I need a break from you,” Martin added while looking at Clark.

Sometimes loved ones drive us the most nuts.
