Caitlin Clark has become one of the most talked about athletes in the United States over the past year, but the NCAA’s all-time leading scorer and No. 1 pick in last month’s WNBA Draft has not forgotten where she came from.

On Mother’s Day, as everyone showed appreciation to their mom for all they do for us, Clark did the same.

The Iowa Hawkeyes Instagram account posted a photo to social media, showing their appreciation for all the ‘Hawkeye moms,’ and Clark was quick to add it to her story with a nice message, thanking her mom, Anne Nizzi-Clark, for all she’s done.

Clark added it to her story, and wrote a nice message: “My rock. Happy Mother’s Day,” she wrote below the photo.

I think it’s safe to say we are all thankful for Ms. Clark this Mother’s Day, as her commitment to her daughter has benefited us all.

Clark is set to make her WNBA regular season debut on Tuesday against the Connecticut Sun. The game will air on ESPN2 and will begin at 7:30 p.m. ET.
