Reese shared a video from backstage with Megan Thee Stallion as well.
During her first press conference after being selected seventh overall by the Sky, she told reporters she would want a Megan Thee Stallion or Beyoncé song to accompany her introduction before a game. The former was also one of the celebrities, along with Michael Jordan, she said she had most wanted to meet.
Sunday was another sign of Reese’s mainstream popularity. Earlier in the week, rapper Latto attended the Sky’s 87-79 loss to the Dallas Wings and cited the reigning SEC Player of the Year as the reason for her presence.
Maybe it won’t be long before MJ takes in a Sky game for himself, too.
