Caitlin Clark’s Mom Breaks Silence on Team USA Decision Over Social Media

Caitlin Clark is not a stranger to controversy—although she’s rarely the one who’s causing it.

The biggest piece of news in the sports world this weekend came when it was announced that Caitlin Clark would not be competing for Team USA at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

While Clark hasn’t given her reaction to this news just yet, her mother, Anne Nizzi-Clark, made her opinion of Clark’s Team USA snub very clear over social media.

Nizzi-Clark reposted a post on X that wrote, “USA Basketball’s timing is terrible. Clark just made seven 3’s and scored 30 in front of the largest WNBA crowd in 17 years: 20,333 in DC, more than double the crowd Chicago drew the night before in the same arena.”

She also reposted a follow-up post that confirms the initial report, saying, “Caitlin Clark, the biggest name in women’s basketball who has electrified record crowds while being named WNBA rookie of the month, has been left off the 2024 US Olympic women’s basketball team roster.”

Clearly the Clark family is just as upset about this news as everyone else.
