Dwyane Wade is a big fan of what Chicago Sky rookies Angel Reese and Kamilla Cardoso did in the recent NBA Finals advertisement featuring hoops champions.

For those who missed it, Reese and Cardoso appeared to take a shot at Caitlin Clark with their crown gesture in the promo. The two won the NCAA Women’s Championship, with their respective teams denying Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes the title.

Reese further fueled the assumptions she’s shading Clark by repeating her statement in the advertisement in her latest social media post, saying “CHAMPS ONLY.”

For his part, Wade saw the post from the Sky saying “Wait for it,” which pertains to Reese and Cardoso’s moment. The NBA icon shared the message and noted, “It was only right.”

Of course it’s uncertain if Angel Reese and Kamilla Cardoso were really trolling Caitlin Clark here, but many are assuming that’s the case considering their history.

Dwyane Wade sees no issue with it, though, and appears to be more than willing to fuel the debate. At the end of the da, Reese and Cardoso can truly say they are champions while Clark cannot–at least not yet.

May 15, 2024; Arlington, Texas, USA; Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese (5) and Dallas Wings forward Maddy Siegrist (20) in action during the second half at College Park Center.

Clark has yet to react to the viral video, but it’s unlikely we’ll see her address it.
