LeBron James doesn't get into the Caitlin Clark-Angel Reese debate and makes it clear which WNBA player is the best

WNBA superstar A’ja Wilson, already a legend at the University of South Carolina, now has a statue outside Colonial Life Arena to honor her achievements.

During her college career, she garnered numerous accolades and led her team to their first national championship.

Wilson was a powerhouse player, winning multiple Player of the Year awards in her senior year. Her success continued in the WNBA, where she was named MVP.

The unveiling of her statue drew praise from sports figures such as LeBron JamesDawn Staley, and organizations like the SEC and the WNBA.

“That’s so [fire emojis] @_ajawilson22!!” James wrote on X. “Congrats”

She responded: “Appreciate it!”

Shining in the WNBA

A few days later, the Los Angeles Lakers star took to his Instagram stories to share the poster congratulating Wilson for being named KIA Western Conference Player of the Month for May 2024.

Her outstanding performance has led the Aces to a 4-2 record, with impressive stats including averaging 26.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 2.83 blocks per game.

She made history by recording at least 20 points and 10 rebounds in each of her first 5 games, setting a new WNBA record for consecutive 20-10 games.

Despite being a dominant force in the WNBA, Wilson aims to secure her first championship with the Las Vegas Aces this year, with the return of star players Kelsey Plum and Liz Cambage reinforcing the team.
