The WNBA’s 2024 rookie class is loaded with superstars.

Although nobody can deny that the biggest superstar of them all (both on and off the court) is the Indiana Fever’s first overall pick in the draft, Caitlin Clark.

Clark has had an up and down season with the Fever so far. While she has shown flashes of brilliance, her current 15.6 points per game average is lower than many people would have expected from her to this point.

Although that doesn’t excuse ESPN’s most recent rookie rankings, which came out on Thursday morning.

These rankings put Caitlin Clark at sixth among all 2024 rookies.

The five players above Clark are Cameron Brink, Angel Reese, Kate Martin, Rickea Jackson, and Julie Vanloo.

And WNBA fans can’t believe the disrespect toward Clark.

“Caitlin Clark below Julie Vanloo and Kate Martin?” one X user questioned.

“Why is Clark so low,” asked another.

A third wrote, “Them cc fans not go like this but that high usage rate, lack of efficiency, high turnover rating and bad defense is the cause.”

Regardless of why, fans are going to be feeling a certain type of way about Clark being slotted so low.
