On Thursday night, the Chicago Sky, led by Angel Reese, stunned the New York Liberty in a 90-81 victory. The Sky moved to 2-1 on the season, and the Liberty suffered their first loss, falling to 4-1.

The former LSU Tiger was a key contributor to the win, scoring 13 points on 30% shooting to go along with nine rebounds, an assist, and a steal. Reese also helped shut down former MVP Breanna Stewart with her incredible defense.

After the game, Reese took to social media to express strong dissatisfaction with ESPN’s initial WNBA power rankings. The Chicago Sky had been placed at the bottom of the rankings, but Reese disagreed with this assessment, particularly after the team’s strong performance at the beginning of the season.
