The Chicago Sky dropped a contest to the New York Liberty on Tuesday, 87-75. Late in the fourth quarter, Chicago rookie Angel Reese was ejected after receiving two technicals for complaining to the ref after a foul call. On Wednesday, the WNBA announced it is rescinding Reese’s second technical foul.

“I tried to get an explanation. I did not,” Sky coach Teresa Weatherspoon told reporters in the postgame news conference. “I don’t know to this moment what has happened.”

This comes days after Reese’s teammate Chennedy Carter had a foul against the Indiana Fever’s Caitlin Clark upgraded to a flagrant-1. That same game, Reese ended up getting fined $1,000 because she did not participate in postgame media availability.
