Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever were back in action on Thursday night, hosting the Atlanta Dream. The Fever went into the matchup with a 3-10 record, and came out with a massive 91-84 win, adding another victory to the standings.

Indiana seems to have some serviceable pieces with Aliyah Boston, NaLyssa Smith, and of course, Clark, but the main issue has been their supporting cast.

They looked different on Thursday, though. Indiana’s offense was flowing better than any game they’ve played this season. WNBA fans are pointing out the one reason the Fever built a successful night, leading to stray shots for Clark.

The rookie was getting roasted, given a career-night from Boston. Indiana’s up-and-coming center scored 27 points, adding 13 rebounds in her second straight double-double of the season.

It’s clear that the Fever took a step forward on both ends of the floor after their five day rest period last week. Following intermission, Boston seems to have a larger role on the offensive end. Clark leads the team in scoring with around 16 points a game, but fans believe Boston should be given more opportunity and potentially be their go-to option.

Fans were calling out Clark for being “carried,” admitting Boston is the best player on Indiana’s roster. The 2023 Rookie of the Year may just be the key for the Fever’s success.
