Caused a stir with his comments about the WNBA star.

Clark

Former NFL player Antonio Brown has once again caused a stir with his comments about WNBA star Caitlin Clark during an interview with Jason Whitlock.

Brown, who has a history of targeting high-profile figures such as Tom Brady with provocative posts, ignited a backlash last month with derogatory tweets about Clark’s appearance, suggesting in a particularly offensive tweet that she “looks like she keeps it hairy.”

Brown’s remarks

Despite initially showing signs of remorse in a podcast interview with sports columnist Whitlock, Brown ultimately undermined his own apology with a taunting comment, prompting an exasperated response from the host.

“Caitlin Clark, we love you,” Brown noted.

“There’s no drama here. I’m excited about what you’re going to do for women’s basketball. You’re an amazing player. I love to watch your game, You bring a lot of excitement and energy.

“CTESPN would love to have you talk, especially [about] what you deal with, your traumas, your adversities, how you continue to be great,’ he continued, referring to his CTESPN Podcast.

“People like me in the media bringing awareness to you, whether in the wrong or the right, it’s all in positivity, it’s all in fun and games.

“Continue to be great continue to be focused on being the best athlete you want to be. Continue to lead women’s sports and pioneering it the way you want to pioneer it. I have a daughter, I look up to you, I look up to everything you guys are doing.

“So shout out to you Caitlin Clark… and if it’s hairy don’t worry about it.”

Brown’s prior insults had already led Clark to block him on social media, a move prompted by his offensive characterizations of her as his “Cracker of the Day” and “Cousin It,” referencing an Addams Family character.

The altercation didn’t end with Clark’s social media block. Brown continued his barrage of insults, suggesting that Clark would resort to plastic surgery as she advanced in her WNBA career and reiterating his attacks through more social media posts, including a crass meme about Clark’s boyfriend.
