UConn women’s basketball already won the Big East regular season title and already owns the No. 1 seed in this weekend’s Big East Tournament.

On Monday, the Huskies swept the final Big East weekly awards of the season.

Paige Bueckers was named the Big East Player of the Week for the second time this season after averaging 24.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, a 64.3 field goal percentage and 1.5 blocks per game last week.

KK Arnold won the final Big East Freshman of the Week Monday by averaging 9.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 3.5 steals per game in UConn’s two wins last week.

Arnold’s Freshman of the Week nod is her sixth on the season and breaks her previous tie with fellow Husky freshman Ashlynn Shade. A Husky freshman was named the Big East Freshman of the Week 12 out of 17 weeks.

The Huskies ended the regular season last week with wins over Villanova and Providence.

Bueckers led all players with 31 points (on 11 of 15 shooting) against the Wildcats for her fourth 30th-point game of the season.

Three days later against the Friars, the redshirt junior again led all players with 17 points in 22 minutes, shooting 7 of 13 from the floor.

Arnold recorded seven points, six rebounds, three assists and four seals against Villanova and 12 points (5 of 10 shooting), seven rebounds, three assists and three steals at Providence.

Bueckers and Arnold are top candidates for the Big East Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year awards, which will be announced later this week.

UConn begins the Big East Tournament on Saturday at noon in the quarterfinals. The Huskies will face the winner of Friday’s first round of No. 9 Providence- No. 8 Butler.
