VIDEO: Cameras Caught Stanford’s Cameron Brink Yelling “F-U” At Ref After Fouling Out Of Final Home Game

Stanford senior forward Cameron Brink might have had some angry words for a referee when she fouled out in a fierce second-round NCAA Tournament matchup against Iowa State before overtime on Sunday night.

The 6-foot-4 All-American fouled out with just over two minutes left in the fourth quarter and the No. 2 seed Stanford trailing No. 7 Iowa State 64-63 — and appeared to chirp “f–k you” in the direction of an official.

Many on social media said Brink — who declared for next month’s 2024 WNBA Draft — indeed dropped an F-bomb, but the 22-year-old New Balance athlete was not called for a technical.

Las Vegas Aces guard Sydney Colson wrote on X: “Did Brink say what I think?”

Brink did not address the situation after the Cardinal beat the Cyclones, 87-81, in overtime — which marked her last home game at Maples Pavilion — to punch their ticket to the Sweet 16.

She finished with eight points and eight rebounds.

Brink also had five blocks, which set a single-season Stanford record (119).

Fellow forward Kiki Iriafen stepped up during Brink’s struggles — especially when the game went into overtime tied at 66 points.

Iriafen went off for 41 points, 16 rebounds and four assists in 41 minutes.

Brink was seen bowing down to her on the sideline after the intense matchup, which featured 18 lead changes.

“It’s fun,” Brink said after the game. “It’s March, baby! It’s fun.”

The Cardinal survived and Brink will get a chance to lead her team to the Final Four after last year’s second-round upset on the their home court by No. 8 Ole Miss.

“This has been my dream school ever since I was in the seventh grade,” Brink said. “Being able to come here, play through covid, all that stuff, it’s just been — it’s made my career, It’s made my life so far.”

Stanford forward Cameron Brink walks off the floor after fouling out during the second half of a second-round college basketball game in the women's NCAA Tournament against Iowa State Sunday, March 24, 2024.

Brink had a fifth year of eligibility to return to Stanford, which was granted to collegiate athletes during the COVID-19 pandemic, but opted to declare for the 2024 WNBA Draft.

The three-time Pac-12 defensive player of the year is one of the best two-way players in the country and is expected to be a top-3 pick behind Iowa Hawkeyes star point guard Caitlin Clark.

“Although I’m excited for that next chapter, we still have unfinished business and so much to accomplish in my final season at Stanford,” Brink wrote on social media earlier this month.

Brink, who was born in Princeton, N.J., is the goddaughter of Dell and Sonya Curry, who divorced in 2021.

Stanford will face the winner of No. 6 Tennessee and No. 3 NC State on Friday.
