While fans go gaga over Gabbie Marshall’s sporty appearance and captivating personality, many are getting curious about the man who won the heart of Iowa’s #24 star. Marshall, 23, is dating Spencer Touro, a former University of Iowa student who majored in sport and recreation.
Touro works as a wellness coach intern at Pro-Fit Gym and has been the head sophomore baseball trainer at Benton People Group Secondary School since May 2022.
He is also a personal trainer at Feldman Performance (West branch in Iowa City).
Their mutual love of sports and their college experiences brought them together. Gabbie frequently shares photos of herself with her partner on her Instagram; and shared a carousel of pictures commemorating their first anniversary in December 2023.
“1 year with the most selfless, loving and hardworking guy I know.
Thank you for making me the happiest girl in the world & pushing me to become the best version of myself every single day. I love you!!” she wrote on Instagram.
To this, Touro responded, “Luckiest guy in the world. I love you. “
However, fans had previously been wondering about their liaison since 2021.
They finally received a confirmation in August 2023, when Touro posted a photo with Gabbie on Instagram, confirming their relationship.
Marshall had a profound enthusiasm for basketball from a young age and was motivated by her parents, who were both former collegiate players. Her mother was an Aquinas basketball player, while her father was a Bellarmine basketball player.
As a senior on Iowa’s basketball team, she has also established herself as a strong individual prospect.
The 5-foot-9 player enters a new league
In her fifth year, Guard Marshall scored 16 points and knocked down four 3-pointers in the 108-60 rout of Minnesota on March 23.
She has played in 156 games during her Hawkeye career, joining the 1,000 career point club in the process during her match this week.
Her contribution to Iowa’s success in the Final Four and subsequent national championship match versus LSU last spring further goes on to vouch for her incredible significance to Iowa.
Now, looks like she’s ready for yet another run through the Big Ten Tournament and March Madness after her performance against Minnesota.
Fans can’t wait to see where Gabbie Marshall’s adventure in basketball and love will take her next, as her brilliance is evident on and off the court. What do you think?
