While the entire 2024 WNBA rookie class is loaded with superstars, very few are most universally adored than Seattle Storm guard Nika Muhl.

The former UConn Husky and 14th overall pick of the 2024 WNBA Draft became a household name after her excellent defense against Caitlin Clark in the 2024 NCAA Tournament.

This, combined with her stellar track record at UConn, convinced the Seattle Storm that they should snag Muhl with a second round pick.

Nika Muhl speaks in an interview after she is selected with the number fourteen overall pick to the Seattle Storm in the 2024 WNBA Draft at Brooklyn Academy of Music.

And while Muhl has only played 12 total minutes in the WNBA regular season, there was no reason to believe the Storm weren’t happy to have her around.

That is, until an X video surfaced of Muhl sitting on the Storm sidelines during a game, speaking to a teammate.

While Muhl is talking, she appears to place her hand on the teammate sitting next to her, Mercedes Russell.

But Russell quickly shoves Muhl’s hand away and scoffs at her.

The video surfaced from an X user who wrote, “Bruh these WNBA players really hate these rookies,” as the caption.

While there may be nothing to this sideline interaction, this looks a lot different than how other WNBA rookies interact with their teammates.
