The college rivalry between Reese and the NCAA all-time leading scorer Clark has continued into their WNBA careers.

The No. 8 overall pick of the Chicago Sky Reese has helped her team win two of the last three games of the season, scoring 35 points in those contests.

However, the top 2024 pick Clark has yet to win a game in her first five games with the Indiana Fever.

On Thursday night, the Sky‘s latest win over the New York Liberty caused Reese to take a shot at Clark in a now-deleted post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“And that’s on getting a WIN in a packed area not just cause of one player on our charter flight. #SKYTOWN,” she wrote while adding a blowing-a-kiss emoji at the end.

Clark has helped the WNBA skyrocket in ratings.

During her college tenure with the Iowa Hawkeyes, she was a big college rival with the LSU Tigers product Reese.

For the first time, the WNBA has introduced private charter flights for teams this season.

Many personalities, including LeBron James and NBA legend Charles Barkley, believe that Clark should be thanked for the spotlight she’s brought to the league.

But on Thursday, Reese opened up on suggestions that Clark is solely responsible for the increasing popularity of women’s basketball and the WNBA.

‘It’s not just one person, I think people don’t realize that [because] the narrative out there is that just one person changing the game,” Reese said.

“It’s a lot of us.

“There’s so many great players and it’s been long overdue and just being able to see that our impact has been able to change the game.”

‘I love it for us all, and we’re just going to continue to keep going.”

In 2023, Reese and the Tigers defeated Clark’s Hawkeyes in the 2023 NCAA title game.

During the game, Reese waved her hand in front of Clark’s face.

The sequence also saw Reese point her ring finger while looking at Clark just minutes before winning an actual championship ring.

In ESPN’s recently released Full Court Press four-part TV series, Clark revealed her disagreements with the coverage of herself and Reese’s on-court rivalry rather than Iowa’s path to the title game.

“That’s the only thing people wanted to talk about when we just went on this magical run and united so many people, and that like was frustrating to me,” she admitted.

Clark will look for her first win when the Fever play the Los Angeles Spark on Friday night.
