Qerim, 40, made her regularly scheduled appearance on First Take at ESPN’s New York City studios.

Stephen A. Smith joined Qerim remotely from Los Angeles as he continues his NBA playoff duties.

Qerim continued her responsibilities of presenting topics on the show, but Stephen A. was distracted by her outfit.

“You changing out from your nightgown? I’m just wondering,” Stephen A. said.

He broke down in laughter after asking the question as Qerim hurried to defend herself.

“Stephen A. this is like a beautiful blouse,” Qerim said.

The 40-year-old wore a lavender-colored blouse that was tied across the front.

Her blouse seemingly resembled a nightgown, according to Stephen A.

Qerim posted a picture of her outfit on her Instagram story to share with fans before the episode aired.

“Friday eve mood,” she captioned the post with a smiling emoji.

“Exquisite beauty and super sharp,” one fan said.

“Molly hi I watch you every morning and you’re beautiful!!” another fan said.

“Molly is taking over first take. She is taking over ESPN holy smokes,” a third fan said.

Qerim has been the host of First Take since 2015.

First Take viewing figures

First Take went from strength to strength under the guidance of Stephen A. Smith and Molly Qerim last year.

The weekday ESPN debate show averaged 496,000 viewers in 2023 – making it the most-watched year in program history.

Its December average of 611,000 was a 24% year-on-year increase compared to 2022.

The show also reported more than 250 million views on YouTube.

First Take was helped by the addition of Shannon Sharpe alongside Smith and Qerim after he left Fox Sports’ Undisputed.

She is a fan-favorite on ESPN thanks to her rotation of spectacular outfits.

Qerim is the authority on ESPN outfits, and she recently gave props to Stephen A. for looking good at an NBA game.

“He was there in the building. Looking clean. Okay Stephen A!” she said.

“I’m proud of you, that was clean. You didn’t do too much.”
