How many points did Angel Reese score in WNBA debut? Full stats, results, highlights from Sky vs. Wings
Angel Reese’s WNBA debut wasn’t pretty at first, but she still managed to score in double digits, even as the Sky lost, 87-79, to the Wings in their season opener.
Chicago outscored the home team 43-40 in the first half. But that momentum wasn’t enough to overcome Dallas guard Arike Ogunbowale. The All-Star put on an MVP showing, with 25 points and seven assists, including a cross-court launch.

Two Wings recorded double-doubles – Teaira McCowan with 18 points and 13 rebounds and Natasha Howard with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Dallas also found plenty of production off the bench in second-year forward Maddy Siegrist.
Despite every one of their starters, including Reese, scoring at least 10 points, the Sky couldn’t keep up in the second half. That’s when Reese found her own rhythm, though. She finished with an energetic 12 points and seven rebounds. The Chi-Town Barbie did leave some points on the court, as she went 2-of-8 from the free throw line.
Reese and the Sky get a chance at revenge Saturday when they again play the Wings in Dallas.
