The most wholesome story in the WNBA this season has been Kate Martin.

The former Iowa Hawkeye and current Las Vegas Aces rookie has become universally adored by both fans and members of her franchise.

There have been endless stories and videos showing the Aces playfully teasing Martin, hyping up her dance moves, or giving her presents for her birthday.

And Martin’s excellent performance on the court has made this entire story even better.

Another chapter to this awesome narrative was added on Wednesday night, when Martin took the stage during the third annual IX’s Awards, which honors the past, the present, and the future of women’s sports.
