Rookie Rickea Jackson Throws Shade at Kate Martin During WNBA Game

The Las Vegas Aces are struggling to start the 2024 WNBA season.

The two-time defending WNBA champs lost to the Los Angeles Sparks on Sunday by a score of 96-92, which brings their record down to 5-4 on the year.

Final score aside, Sunday’s matchup was a fun one for the 2024 rookie class, with the Aces’ Kate Martin going up against the Sparks’ two rookies, Cameron Brink and Rickea Jackson.

And because Martin and Jackson are both guards, they were going back and forth all night.

After Jackson got the better of Martin on one play, she threw shade Martin’s way.

Jackson made an important basket over Martin with a little over one minute left in the game.

After doing so, Jackson ran back down to the court while doing the “too small” gesture on the former Iowa Hawkeye.

Martin fans are outraged at Jackson’s move.

“Do NOT disrespect kate like that,” one X user wrote.

“How deer she disrespect my queen,” said another.

It sounds like Jackson might be the new public enemy #1 for Martin fans.
