Angel Reese Announces Major Personal News Ahead of WNBA Debut

Angel Reese makes her highly-anticipated WNBA debut this week, but that’s not the only major event happening in her life. Reese shared major personal news on social media on Tuesday highlighting what’s to come later this week.

Reese, the former LSU women’s basketball star who led the Tigers to the national title in 2023, was the No. 7 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Chicago Sky. She’s expected to be one of the Sky’s best players this season.

Reese and the Sky start the 2024 WNBA regular season on Wednesday vs. the Dallas Wings. They face the Wings again on Saturday. That Saturday, in particular, is going to be a big day for Reese and her family.

Reese announced on X that she’s graduating from LSU this weekend. She completed her schooling in four years, just like she planned to. Reese called her mom to share the awesome news, and apparently her mom started running around the house because she was so happy.

“ahhh i graduate on saturday!!! ON TIME IN MY 4 YEARS i don’t have to wake up and think about another assignment lmaoooo. i called my momma & she running around the house so happy cause she know all the odds that were against me & she so happy it’s all over and i can live my best life now,” Reese said.
