Angel Reese Sends Three-Word Message To Dwyane Wade’s Daughter

Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky already have made a lot of headlines this WNBA season, and much of the attention can be credited directly to Reese.

Reese already was a star when she was drafted with the No. 7 pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, and that popularity has further blossomed at the professional level.

The rookie out of LSU has averaged nearly a double-double this season. She’s posted an average of 11.6 points and 9.6 rebounds per game. Her performance Wednesday night against the Connecticut Sun was impressive, as she notched a career-high 20 points and 10 rebounds.

NBA legend and Chicago native Dwyane Wade was in attendance for the Sky’s 83-75 loss on Wednesday. He is a part of the Sky’s ownership group, and he’s been quick to share praise for Reese.

After her WNBA debut, he posted “Just the beginning” on X.

Wade and Reese seem to share mutual respect for one another. Wade has shown that he’s a fan of Reese, and his daughter has also spoken about her love for the rookie.

“Can I please, please make an Angel Reese shirt?” said Wade’s daughter.

When she was asked what she wanted her Angel Reese shirt to say, she replied with, “I love you, Angel Reese,” via Instagram.

Reese then responded to the message from Wade’s daughter, saying, “Love my girl.”

It’s incredible to see this type of bond from two of the most influential figures in the Chicago sports scene. There clearly is a great relationship between the Basketball Hall of Famer and one of the most impactful names in the sport today.
