Angel Reese shares what she misses most about LSU after joining the Chicago Sky

Former LSU women’s basketball star Angel Reese is still adjusting to life in the WNBA with the Chicago Sky, and there are some aspects of playing for Kim Mulkey that she’s still missing as a pro.

The Sky selected Angel Reese with the No. 7 overall pick in the WNBA Draft in April, and she played well in the preseason with a pair of 13-point performances. Reese and Caitlin Clark, who is now with the Indiana Fever, have brought big time star power to the WNBA in their first few weeks in the league.

When asked Monday what she misses most about her time at LSU, Reese told Athlon Sports that it’s some of the simple facets of the college game that she wishes translated more to the WNBA.

“I do miss kind of being able to be constructive, with a schedule,” Reese said.

She also said that she enjoyed eating meals with her LSU teammates, and that Sky players choose to “do their own things” for pregame meals.

Overall, Reese says she’s pleased with life in Chicago so far.

“It’s been great being here in Chicago,” Reese said. “They’ve embraced me and loved me, and it’s an amazing culture here … just being able to bring a winning mentality here.”

The Sky open the regular season on the road with a 7 p.m. contest against the Dallas Wings in Arlington, Texas.
