Angel Reese's interactions on the bench show she's on the path to superstardom

Angel Reese proved she is fitting in just fine with the Chicago Sky. In the Sky’s 48-point preseason win over Breanna Stewart, Sabrina Ionescu and the New York Liberty, Reese was spotted living it up on the bench once it was clear the game was out of hand.

Sitting next to some of the Sky’s veterans, the rookie star was seen sharing a hearty laugh with Chicago’s older players.

It appeared as if the whole group was in on the fun, sharing laughs as the game proceeded. In all, Reese looked like she was enjoying her time and just being a jovial presence for the team, both on and off the court.

With the Sky up 91-43 with just over three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, Reese was spotted dancing on the sideline when one of her teammates scored. She frequently made sure to let her teammates know just how happy she was for them as whenever Chicago scored, Reese would do something to make her presence felt.

Once the game was through, Reese made sure to give the crowd on hand one last show, waving to the fans and dancing off the court with the rest of her teammates. The star forward certainly had a reason to celebrate as she was an integral part of the Sky’s demolition of the Liberty.

Reese showed she could hang with championship-caliber players, taking on Stewart on some occasions and winning. Overall, the 22-year-old finished with 13 points on 6-of-10 shooting from the field, grabbed five rebounds, had two steals and one assist in just 19 minutes of action.

As a whole, it appears as if Reese is living her best life as just one night before the Sky’s game with the Liberty, the star rookie was at the Met Gala. Speaking to reporters at the event, Reese shared that being invited to the Met Gala had always been something she had in her mind throughout the years.

“I’m just excited to see everyone’s outfit. Everyone looks amazing here. I’ve always dreamed of this moment, so being here on my 22nd birthday is amazing,” she said.

However, her appearance at the Gala drew ire from some on social media. Reese made sure to address the detractors on X as shortly after the Sky’s win, she had a simple message to those who criticized her: “maximize them 24hrs,” she wrote.
