BREAKING: Judge Reveals Whether Patrick Mahomes’ Father Will Be Able To Attend The Super Bowl Following His Arrest

Patrick Mahomes is headed to another Super Bowl. But it won’t be without some concern as his father could be facing time in prison if convicted.

Patrick Mahomes Sr. was arrested for DWI  in Texas on Saturday night and could face up to 10 years in prison given that it was his third strike. The state of Texas takes DWI very seriously and a trio of arrests usually spell jail time.

Still, he will be able to attend the Super Bowl in Las Vegas as his bond does not include a travel ban.
“Judge James Meredith — who handled the case in Smith County, Texas on Sunday following Mahomes Sr.’s DWI arrest — tells us he didn’t impose any travel ban on the elder Mahomes as part of his bond conditions … paving the way for Dad to watch his son play in Las Vegas in SB LVIII,” TMZ Sports reports.

“Of course, it’s unclear if the Chiefs star will want him there now following the added distraction in the leadup to the Big Game … but, at least in the eyes of the law, Mahomes Sr. will be allowed to leave the state for it.”
It appears the former MLB star was treated with some consideration. But as TMZ noted, the Chiefs quarterback might not want his dad at the game as it could be a distraction.
