Chicago Sky Coach Drops Serious Team USA Prediction For Angel Reese

Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever has been the biggest headline since the 2024 Team USA women’s basketball roster was released over the weekend, and not because she made the team.

Many are saying Clark is the biggest snub for the Olympic roster, and rightfully so. She would bring in a much larger audience for Team USA’s games, even if she doesn’t see much action. But the country decided to leave her off the roster and have her listed as an alternate.

Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese was never really considered for the USA roster this year, but an Olympic appearance could be in her future; at least, that is what Sky coach Teresa Weatherspoon thinks.

On Tuesday afternoon, Weatherspoon participated in an interview and dropped a serious Team USA prediction for Reese.

“She’s showing it. She has what it takes. You’re doggone right she has what it takes,” Weatherspoon said of Reese’s Team USA future.

Weatherspoon then said Kamilla Cardoso could also make the national team in the future. GN Sports TV posted her full comments on social media.

Clark and Reese had a major rivalry during their college days with the Iowa Hawkeyes and the LSU Tigers, respectively. It would be cool to see them team up for their country in the future.
