Eagles' Jason Kelce shares wishy-washy update on retirement plans

Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce is still unsure whether or not he’s done playing football, but he is planning for both possibilities.

Kelce recently appeared on the Superfly podcast with comedian/actors Dana Carvey and David Spade where he gave an update about where his current decision stands.

“I don’t know. I’m trying to figure it out right now,” Kelce said. “Right now, exploring different opportunities if I end up retiring. Still working out and staying in shape if I end up playing again.”

As many fans already know, Kelce has been enjoying the offseason more than ever after going viral for partying it up in Las Vegas at the Super Bowl and running a 5k for charity.

It was in Vegas that he hopped on The Big Podcast with Shaq and told Shaquille O’Neal that he would have an answer “in the next coming weeks.”

He also told Shaq that the Eagles’ 32-9 playoff loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was still too “fresh” and that he needed some time to “recoup” before making an announcement.

If Kelce doesn’t return for a 14th season with the Birds, it sounds like he has plans to pursue a broadcasting career after he met with Fox and ESPN to discuss a future in television earlier this month.

And if does return, he will be a part of the first-ever NFL game that will be played in Brazil in Week 1 of next season — which may or may not weigh on his final decision.
