Major Caitlin Clark Injury Update Revealed After Concerning Fall

Caitlin Clark went down with an apparent ankle injury against the Connecticut Sun on Monday and headed to the locker room before halftime. She seemed to be favoring her ankle after twisting it on the defensive end, but it may have just been a tweak.

ESPN’s Holly Rowe reported after her locker room visit that Clark will be available to play, despite the aching pain she displayed in the first half. Rowe detailed that Clark seemed to be comfortable in her shooting and playing form in general, following warmups after halftime.

While Clark has struggled in her first couple of games in the league, she’s still been able to put in an average of over 17 points. She may not be the offensive threat as advertised from her dominance in college, but her presence on the floor opens up the offense for the Indiana Fever.

The injury will surely be monitored under a close microscope, given Clark’s impact on not just the Fever, but the WNBA as a whole.

Indiana continues to look for their first win of the season behind a young starting lineup that’s learning how to play with one another.
