PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Steelers Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw sits in very rare company as a Super Bowl-winning quarterback. To make it more rare, he’s won multiple (four), and could be joined by Kansas City Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes this year as only the fifth passer to claim a historic mark.

As the Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII, Mahomes is looking to defeat the 49ers for the second time in the big game. If he does, he’ll join Steelers legend Terry Bradshaw and three others as just the fifth quarterback to beat the same team in the Super Bowl twice.

Mahomes could join Bradshaw, Joe Montana, Troy Aikman and Eli Manning.

Bradshaw defeated the Dallas Cowboys in 1975 and 1978. Montana defeated the Cincinnati Bengals in 1981 and 1988. Aikman handed Jim Kelly and the Buffalo Bills two defeats in 1992 and 1993. And Manning, maybe the most historic wins, beat Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in 2007 and 2011.

The Chiefs head into the game as underdogs to the 49ers. They’re looking for their third Super Bowl win under Mahomes and head coach Andy Reid, and their second in back-to-back years.

If they pull it off, Mahomes will join elite company as he adds to his legendary resume.
