A new report is stating that Danel Jones is basically done being a starter in the National Football League, as one unnamed NFL executive stated.
“He’d basically be done as a starter,” one NFL executive told FOX Sports. “The Giants have always liked him better than everyone else,” via NJ.com.
Daniel Jones’ health has been a topic of discussion as he only played six games during the 2023 season before suffering a torn ACL in his right knee. Before his injury, he had thrown for 909 yards, two touchdowns, and six interceptions while leading the team to a 1-5 record.

The New York Giants had high hopes for Daniel Jones when they selected him with the sixth pick in the 2019 NFL draft. He had one promising year in 2022, but he could never stay consistent.

Coincidentally, New York has the No. 6 pick in the 2024 draft, and the field is filled with talent at the quarterback position that includes prospects such as USC’s Caleb Williams, UNC’s Drake Maye, and LSU’s Jayden Daniels.
It’s up to the front office if they want to choose to reset the quarterback position this offseason by drafting their future signal-caller.
