Taylor Swift went the literal distance to be there for her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, as the Kansas City Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers tonight at the Super Bowl. Swift arrived at LAX Airport yesterday afternoon around 4 P.M. local time, traveling there from Tokyo. TMZ ran photos.

She kept covered by an umbrella one of her team members held as she got into a SUV. The outlet reported she appeared to be heading to her Beverly Hills home from the airport.

It is about a four-hour drive to Las Vegas from Los Angeles, giving Swift plenty of time to get there for the game.

Swift played a show in Tokyo on February 10, but the time difference made it possible for her to get to the area in time for the game, despite it being a 10-hour-plus flight.

Even ahead of the game, Kelce teased that Swift was not guaranteed to attend. When asked during a pre-game press conference earlier this week whether Swift had given him a pep talk, Kelce said, “No… She’s focused on entertaining the crowd… I know she’s out in Japan, Tokyo… So she’s just working on entertaining them, making sure she’s ready for her performances and everything. The Super Bowl [she] will worry about if she can make it.”

A source told Page Six on January 29 that Swift intended to travel back to the U.S. for Kelce’s game. “It’s a brutal flight, but she’ll get on her plane right after the [February 10 Tokyo] concert,” the insider said.

Swift’s latest grand gesture comes days after sources spoke to Entertainment Tonight about how this love story is different for Swift and Kelce.

“Travis has never felt more supported by a significant other ever,” that insider said. “This is just the beginning for them as a couple and many milestones are coming their way. Taylor and Travis make time for each other because they want to. They both take so much pride in the importance of family and love bringing their families and close-knit circles together. They are genuine, honest, loving, and forthright with each other across the board. They both continually encourage one another to be the best that they can be.”

A second source added, “Travis is in love with Taylor, and he’s never been happier. Taylor’s feelings are mutual, and she is so happy and feels comfortable with Travis. She loves that she can be open with their relationship, live her life, and enjoy this special time together.”
