Kate Martin, A’ja Wilson Pregame Exchange Is Turning Heads

The Las Vegas Aces have been the surprise of the 2024 WNBA season so far. And not in a good way.

Despite being considered favorites to produce a three-peat in 2024,  the two-time defending WNBA champions have started the season with a mediocre 7-6 record.

They haven’t been able to conjure any consistency on offense or defense, and are losing to teams that don’t have even close to the amount of talent as them.

And what’s most surprising of all is that, judging from all the team’s interactions with rookie Kate Martin, camaraderie and togetherness is not a reason for their struggles.

Which was proven yet again before Las Vegas’ most recent game.

Prior to the Aces 94-83 win over the Seattle Storm on Wednesday, a photo of Martin and her teammate (and the league’s best player) A’ja Wilson wholesomely bumping heads got a lot of attention on X.

After the game, Wilson posted the photo to her Instagram story and included the caption, “FIN. NOGGIN. DUDEEEEEEEE.” which is a reference to iconic Pixar movie, “Finding Nemo”.

Considering the obvious adoration that the Aces players have with one another, we expect them to solve their on-court struggles soon.
