Tom Brady’s roast gets sour review from legendary “Mad Dog” Russo: ‘Worst piece of trash I’ve ever seen’

Sports personality Christopher “Mad Dog” Russo didn’t hold back when expressing his disdain for Tom Brady’s recent Netflix roast. Russo, known for his candid opinions, lambasted the event on ESPN’s “First Take,” criticizing everything from the comedians involved to the Patriots icons on stage.
“This was the worst piece of garbage I’ve seen in a long period of time,” Russo declared. He specifically called out Bob Kraft, suggesting the Patriots owner should be relaxing at home instead of attending such events.
“What we’re gonna out there and make fun of Gisele for four hours? This is the idea here? We’re gonna sit here and kill (Rob) Gronkowski? Leave him alone, for crying out loud – it’s not that funny,” Russo exclaimed.
Nobody was safe from Russo’s wrath
Russo didn’t spare the comedians either, singling out Kevin Hart for criticism. “I don’t care if he’s 5-foot-1, enough of that too,” Russo remarked, adding that the humor fell flat across the board. “Nobody in America was funny. It was the worst piece of garbage I’ve ever seen in my life.”
His co-hosts on “First Take” appeared taken aback by Russo’s strong stance, with Russo seeming to long for the days of more sophisticated celebrity roasts, like those hosted by Dean Martin.
The roast seemed to have an impact beyond just Russo’s opinion. Reports surfaced that Gisele Bündchen, Brady’s ex wife, was “disappointed” with the jokes aimed at her during the event.
A star-studded roast
The controversial roast included jabs at various aspects of Brady’s life and career, including his divorce from Bündchen, Spygate, Deflategate, his trainer Alex Guerrero, and even O.J. Simpson.
