Travis Kelce admits he doesn’t understand why Taylor Swift is dating him in self-deprecating comments: “I don’t know how the f*** I did it!!”

Taylor Swift is one of the most successful pop stars in the world, with her Eras tour recently boosting her to billionaire status.

With a new album on the way and the recent announcement she’s getting her own (temporary) radio channel, there’s no denying Swift is at a high in her career.

She also appears to be at a high when it comes to love, as she hasn’t held back her affection for Kansas Chiefs player Travis Kelce since debuting their relationship last year.

While some fans are surprised by the couple’s romance and never saw them coming, especially since Taylor had ended her six-year relationship with Joe Alwyn only months before, they’re not the only people surprised she moved on with Kelce. Travis himself recently admitted he doesn’t know how he won over the award-winning singer.

Travis Addressed His Relationship With Taylor On His New Podcast Episode

In the latest installment of his “New Heights” podcast, which aired on Wednesday, April 10, Travis, along with his brother Jason Kelce, welcomed Lil Dicky as a guest. During the episode, Lil Dicky inquired about Travis’ well-known relationship with Taylor.

“It’s fun. I’m having a blast in life, baby. Just flying high, enjoying it all,” Travis said in response. “Bringing new lives to the football world, opening the football world up to new things.”

Lil Dicky went on to romanticize the couple, expressing his approval for Taylor and Travis. “I think it’s the best thing ever. Honestly, my take on it — not that you wanna spend time talking about it for the 5000th time — but like, I just think there’s something that just makes everyone feel like the world is kind of like high school,” he explained. “our most popular pop star, beloved musician, somehow met the most popular, beloved athlete and they actually fell in love.”

He also called out the haters who’re against Taylor and Travis’ relationship, saying they must simply be jealous of the high-profile couple.

“But I think a lot of people who would maybe expect to hate on it actually love it and they acknowledge they love it because there’s something so American about it,” Lil Dicky went on. “There’s something just classic about it.”

Travis responded with a jest, expressing his disbelief at how he managed to win over Swift. “I don’t know how I did it because she wasn’t into sports. So I don’t know how the f—k I did it,” Travis shared.

The NFL star apparently caught Taylor’s attention on his “New Heights” podcast as he recounted failing to give the singer a bracelet with his number on it after seeing her Eras performance. After Taylor got wind of his comments, they reportedly began hanging out in secret before debuting their relationship publicly. Taylor was on hand to celebrate the Super Bowl with Travis, while he’s since made multiple appearances at her Eras tour and is expected to accompany her as she travels Europe on tour later this year.
