Let’s leave the singing to Taylor Swift.
Travis Kelce drunkenly celebrated his Super Bowl win by belting out his own rendition of Garth Brooks’ 1990 song “Friends in Low Places” ahead of the shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs parade Wednesday.
The tight end appeared on stage at the Union Station in Kansas City, Mo., alongside his teammates and addressed their victory against the San Francisco 49ers over the weekend, per a video posted to X.
While in front of thousands of fans, Kelce grabbed the microphone and said, “If you know this song, sing along.”
“Blame it all on my roots, I showed up in boots, and ruined the Niners affair,” he said while heavily slurring his words as quarterback Patrick Mahomes cheered him on.

He rocked back and forth while adding, “I saw that surprise that fear in their eyes,” as Mahomes helped hold him up.
“Pat took that glass of champagne, I promise you,” Kelce, 34, continued while reading off his phone seconds before Mahomes, 28, grabbed the microphone to finish off the hit track.
Swift, 34, wasn’t present to watch her beau’s songwriting skills in action as she recently landed in Australia to continue her Eras Tour.

Shortly after the celebration, a shooting broke out near a parking garage of the venue.
At the time of publication, one person was confirmed dead and at least 22 others were injured, per NBC.
Three people were taken into custody with one alleged suspect being tackled by a Chiefs fan, a video posted to X revealed.

After the incident, Mahomes posted to social media, writing he was “Praying for Kansas City” as his wife, Brittany, also addressed the heartbreaking incident on her Instagram Story.
“Shooting people is never the answer,” she wrote. “Praying for Kansas City & America in general, this is rough.”

The mom of two continued, “Highly embarrassed and disappointed in this, Super Bowl wins will never be the same because of this, it’s devastating.”
“Horrible and traumatizing. So many prayers going to the families involved.”
Meanwhile, Kelce hasn’t spoken out on the matter.
