Just when Patrick Mahomes thought that one photo had finally escaped everyone’s mind, his teammate made it relevant once again. And it was done in the best way possible.
So first, let’s take a trip down memory lane.
After the AFC Championship game, the NFL posted a video showing head coach Andy Reid and Mahomes addressing the team following their big win over the Baltimore Ravens
However, instead of what was said, people focused on a specific angle of Mahomes.
The photo went viral, and now Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice took the opportunity to pay tribute to that viral photo of his quarterback. So he showed up to work out with Mahomes this offseason alongside new wide receiver Hollywood Brown. . . and he was wearing a shirt with that photo on it.
Here’s a clear photo of the shirt:

The next thing would be for the entire team to show up for the first day of minicamp in these matching shirts. Rice needs to start making that happen. But regardless, it was the perfect prank to pull on his quarterback and shows just how great of a relationship the two have.
Clearly, he’s not worried about Mahomes getting upset considering he’s the one who throws the ball off the Rice. If he did get mad, Rice might see a lot fewer touches. However, they are just having some fun and that’s what it should be all about right now.
