Liberty’s Hard Foul On Angel Reese Surfaces Amid Caitlin Clark Drama

On Saturday afternoon, the Indiana Fever defeated the Chicago Sky by a final score of 71-70, renewing the Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese rivalry in the WNBA.

Chennedy Clark took over headlines from the game after she made a dirty play on Clark, knocking her to the floor. Carter was given a personal foul, which was later upgraded to a flagrant.

During an interview on Monday, Reese and Carter pointed out a hard foul on Reese by New York Liberty center Jonquel Jones a few games before, calling it similar to Carter’s actions on Clark.

“Did you see when JJ knocked me down,” Reese said, “Go check the film. JJ knocked me down. She didn’t get a flagrant one though. She got a regular foul, but it was the same thing.”

Reese’s full comments on the matter were posted online on social media.

A fan pulled the evidence of Jones’ hard foul on Reese in a video and also posted it online.

“Your honor, I present the evidence.”

In the clip, Jones shoulders Reese to the ground similarly to the way Carter did to Clark.

As Reese said, Jones did not receive a flagrant foul for this, and she did not receive the same attention Carter received for her foul.
